Warrior Products Safari Sport Rack - One Piece Basket

2007-2013 Jeep Wrangler JK

Product Information:
The ultimate in sport racks, the Safari Sport Rack is a semi-permanent, modular system. As its base, two independent crossbars mount at the vehicle's windshield and rear tub areas as supports for lights, small watercraft, and/or a cargo basket. Quick release snapper pin disconnects on each crossbar leg allows them to be easily removed from the vehicle (this feature is not available for the Cherokee application). When a cargo basket is not affixed, the crossbars create a canoe and/or sailboard carrier. As light supports, the crossbars have tabs for mounting four in the front and two in the back. Black powder-coated to prevent corrosion, this rack has a carrying capacity of 400 lbs highway or 150 lbs off road.

5Looks really cool, and steardy as all get out  Apr 29, 2013
By Kris Dopkins
Upon receiving The rack i knew what I was in for. If you do not want to drill through the body of your brand new or used Jeep do NOT get this rack system. I have a 2012 2dr Jeep JK! I was willing to drill through the body. 2 things about drilling through the body, you must worry about rusting, and also its a difficult process. This was not a super easy install, it was time consuming and alot of work. (instructions are hard to follow also) but when all said and done, I personally think it was more then worth it. I live in south florida so rust is a big issue for me. If you buy this rack the coating the put on it is not that tough, buy some extra bed liner and touch up where need be, along with your drilled holes (lots of drilling required) Im n the process of lining the whole interior of my jeep to keep from rusting all together, but strongly suggested to apply at least on the areas in which were drilled. The manufacture recommends to by the side armor for the vehicle where the rear is drilled for extra support on the body, I dont think it is truly necessary because it is very very sturdy! I also have wired 6 lights onto the rack ( 4 in front and 2 in back.) wiring was a pain but you can wire through the tubing. The Quick releases for the access to a soft top (which I have) are not so quick. to say the least I am yet to remove the top since i have mounted it ( been about 3 weeks.) After I rewire and replace the bolts on the actual rack then removal will be a breeze. As I said before it is very sturdy! I weigh 215 and i climbed up top and shook it around (or tired at least) and the only thing moving was my suspension. It has exceeded my expectations in looks, and sturdiness.
